Welcome, Class of (insert whatever year you are most likely graduating in here)! I am Ian B, the man of awkwardness, knowledge, and other things that I could mention. I will not bother to mention the background behind the awkwardness, because it will take too long to explain. I am the type of person who responds to things such as "I remember you!" with "Is that good or bad?" Normally it's good, but you all know that some people are just here to annoy you. "Some people are like Slinkies, they have no purpose, but bring a smile when you watch them fall down the stairs" is a quote that comes to mind. But enough about me, lets talk about my seemingly obvious goals.
As you all know, people at this high school normally have a reason to go there, sometimes based on family, friends, or academics. In my case, it is friends and academics. I plan to be some sort of scientist in a field of Astronomy, or Nuclear Fusion. English looks like a good class, probably because of Mr. Geib being a great teacher. In my Math and Science classes, I '''WILL''' stay at an "A". As for Spanish 1-3, i want to get the college credits, so i want to be able to achieve at least a "B". And as for the history class that has its name changed by the year, it looks like a class that can be fun, if I put my mind to it.
Ian's brainstorming diagram!
My family is spread all out through the world. My cousin in South Africa studying Filmography, other cousins in England, and others within a 1000-mile radius of Ventura. I just want to be able to stay connected with them, and be able to visit them every once in a while. Just to make you all happy, and some worried, "I want to get married and have kids." There, I quoted it. Happy. No? Too bad. Go push <alt-f4> if you have a Windows, and <command-Q> for a Mac, and something else for a Lynix.
I want to be able to keep all my old friends (Ian, Brandon, Hunter, Andrew, Travis, Dylan), and make some new ones along the way. I want to continue to stay in Gamer's Club, because it's just plain fun. I may want to join another club. This school has endless possibilities of clubs, just ask a teacher to make a new one.
I don't want to be stuck with any sort of dangerous disease that could kill me. I just don't want to die that way (I just gave Karma a hint). I want to be able to actually still backpack with my scout troop every so often. I don't want to be stuck as a scrawny weakling, or that fat guy who spends all his life on WoW. I want to actually go to Philmont, a famous backpacking destination, and backpack along one of its trails.
I want to be able to become an Eagle Scout, so that I can actually say that I did something better than getting "A"s in class. I want to continue being at Junior Lifeguards, mainly because it is the only time for me to go to the beach. I want to get my red Washington DC hat back, or at least get someone to buy it for me. And I want to be able to do whatever else comes to my mind after writing this. Maybe I'll edit it every once in a while.
There you have it. Those are my goals for life, which could be changed at any moment (except on Tuesdays)! In case you're wondering, I'm the tallest one in the "White and Nerdy" sweatshirt on the Period 7 picture. Have a great time in high school, or not, the choice is yours!
